Brooklyn Food Conference 2012: We invite everyone interested to attend this FREE conference and to participate in the many opportunities available. We are expecting over 5000 people from every neighborhood in Brooklyn and beyond to attend. The 2012 Brooklyn Food Conference aims to make real changes in the food system. We will bring people together to build a local food system that provides healthy, affordable food for all our people, supports sustainable practices and justice for food workers across the food chain.
Mission Statement: The Brooklyn Food Coalition is a grassroots organization dedicated to the vision of a just and sustainable food system in Brooklyn through community organizing, public education, and research and advocacy. The Coalition is fundamentally committed to building an inclusive, multi-racial, multi-cultural alliance of residents and community-based groups from all parts of Brooklyn, reflecting the borough’s rich diversity.
